I am so excited to write this!! I finally got my hands on these w7 naked palettes! I decided to purchase "In The Nude" and "In The Buff" whilst I was shopping I found these in a shop called Choice I'm not sure if they have it outside the UK but its basically mainly Next and other brands at cheaper prices either because they are damaged or not perfect. I had a nosey around in here as a Next worker I love to see what didn't make it to our shop! I found a actual W7 stall it had everything from concelers to mascaras first I picked up the dupe for Benefits They're Real mascara which I will review after this then further down I found the palettes I almost screamed my boyfriends name sad I know. He actually bought them for me I have him well trainned mainly because my pay wasn't doing too well this month, these were both £6 and contain 12 shades each. I love these shades and these are the exact dupes for the Naked 2 & 3 at a fraction of the price ITN contains more pinky shades which some greys and browns, Im a sucker for any brown eyeshadows so many shades! ITN also has a few matte shades which I love. The other thing I like is it has a brush which is uncommon as most cheap eyeshadow palettes come with the horrible sponge applicators which I don't think anybody likes:((.
ITB contains more neutrals such as browns, blacks and a beautiful gold shade which is the first one I tried. ITB contains more shimmery and glittery shades so they are perfect so a night out or in the summer months. I've read so many reviews on these where people actually prefer these to the Naked palettes because they have less fall out and the cost of them is far better. Personally I've never used the Naked Palette because I can't afford to spend £38 on a eyeshadow palette and the purpose of this blog is to show you affordable brands. The packaging is different obviously but I like it it's more chunky and I feel as if you could drop it and it would be okay, the colour of the packaging is the same as the Naked Palettes which I love! If you don't have a Choice shop near you can pick these up on amazon and ebay for around the same price so far there are 5 palettes the two Ive mentionned, In To The Night which is mainly purple shades, Neon Lights which is really bright neon shades and Lightly Toasted which is a dupe for the orignal Naked palette. Keep an eye out for my Benefit They're Real dupe Thanks For Reading! Today I'm going to show you something I love reading and looking at! Make-up storage 😍😍 I have a tiny little room I don't have a massive dressing table I can barely fit my double bed in it. I love acrylic storage though who doesn't? although I find it a bit pricey for what it is so defiantly worth hunting around for it. So this is my little corner of my room basically designed for my face, I have all my skincare in my basket all my drawers stacked with perfumes on top. All I really need is a new brush holder this was just a old candle glass I just haven't seen one that's caught my eye yet. I tried to organise the drawers so I sort of have I have my eye drawer, face drawer and lips drawer so on... I bought these drawers for around £14 including postage each and I have 3 stacked so it is pricey! My basket I got free from Next as I work there so I can't help with that I'm afraid. My lipstick holder was about £5.99 on eBay you can find these anywhere. Thanks for reading xox So I decided to check out MUA's nail varnish and sadly it's the first product by them that I don't like :(
I know they are only £1 but it's not the point, I bought Pistachio Icecream which is like a mint green pastel colour. Firstly it went on very streaky and didn't smooth out or self level. I will try more colours too see if it was the only one, also it chipped right away after tackling my boyfriends room, am I the only one with a hoarder of a boyfriend? I spent all day throwing out school work from 2012 but so worth it for a tidy clear room and I even got my own bedside table which I'm excited about, sad I know.. Also sorry for the lack of blogposts I've been so busy lately. Thanks for reading xox I absolutely love my hand creams and I work in such a manual jobs my hands basically cry out for attention. Ive always bought Soap and Glory's range as for the miniatures like these they are around £2.50 and I know they'll be good. The first one I bought was in a emergency as my hands were so sore sore and dry basically felt like I ripping them everytime I used them I saw it in Boots and decided to go with this one as I was on my break so I didn't have long to look anyway.
This claims to have the 'original pink fabulous fragance' I find it to be a marshmellow type of smell its not too over powering and it does work a treat on my hands for only £2.50 you can get a bigger size but I have no idea how much it is and the smaller ones suit me better as I chuck them in my bag. I recieved the Sugar Crush Hand Food for Christmas but I ended up tucking it somewhere and not being able to find it typical! But oh my I wish this stuff was editable the lime smell is so overpowering and I love it! I know that this isn't going to be everybodys cup of tea and some will prefer the original but just try the Sugar Crush honestly its so so good! Hands down Sugar Crush wins it for me just because of them smell, based on just the product I think they are the same formula but the Sugar Crush has the lime added. What do you prefer? Thanks for reading xox I bought these about a week ago but only just got round to actually try them out I found them in my local Superdrug for a 3 for 2 offer which I'm always mentioning. They are supposed to be like gel nails which you can do yourself. Where I work I completely destroy nail varnish as my shop is very hands on and I'm constantly openning things or pulling things apart so I rarely bother doing my nails as they don't last long. These were what I picked up. The top coat in the gold bottle is what you need without this its just normal nail varnish you have to apply two coats of the nail colour I used the Teal one, I'd forgotten how nice Barry M nail varnish is then you allow it to dry and use the top coat. I allowed it to dry and I was a bit rough with my hands to see if I could chip it and nothing happened. I cannot wait to try the pink/coral shade I think it will be a must have for holiday I got all of this for under £10, they don't have a massive colour range yet and I'm not sure if it works with normal nail varnish but I will not be going back I think this is the way forward for my nails. I'm not sure how easy this will come off but it says in the tiny booklet to just use normal nail polish remover, I think Barry M have hit the nail on the head with this one (see what I did there nail... tragic I know) Excuse my short nails I'm trying to grow them! I also want to mention how shiny they are they look like gels I really hope they last more than 3 days which is what my normal nail varnish usually lasts and I really hope they bring out some more brighter colours. let me know your thoughts! thanks for reading xox I think I'm a bit late with this product as I've already seen so many reviews on it but I'm still going to do one anyway, first of all why haven't I found this sooner Im in love!
The reason I bought this was because it was on on offer most places I saw it, I saw it in Boots and thought about it but decided to leave it later that day I went to Asda's as I always find so many bargains it was only £3.33 so I decided to go for it. I didn't have high hopes as it looked like water even my boyfriend piped up and said you've paid £3.33 for a bottle of water. It claims to remove make up and cleanse your skin and it so did! I didn't have to scrub my make-up off with those dreaded wipes it took it off so nicely and did leave my skin so smooth to the point I kept asking my boyfriend to touch my face. I wanted to have a look at the ingredients for this as it claimed to be no fragrance I still opened the lid and tried to smell it but it hardly has anything in it i think around 6 things, I'm not a scientist so I have no idea what they are but it looks good hey. They have different types of these for different skin types I went for the sensitive skin as I could only see combination which I didn't want as I have really dry skin but usually I'd wake up in the morning and notice these patches but my face looked so much clearer. This is defiantly going to be part of my nighttime routine and I will never buy make-up wipes again as long last but not least this says you should get 200 uses of it which I think might be a exaggerated because I seen people buy another so quickly I think it would last about 2 months using a lot of it a time but while it's on offer for £3.33 that's basically a pack of make-up wipes. I have been waiting for this moment since I saw the film all I've wanted to do is be Elsa she is my favourite disney princess. My boyfriend and I got invited to our friends 30th birthday and it was fancy dress so without a doubt I knew what I was going as. Im not going into much about the details about the night as this is to show off how I became Elsa. I didn't take as many photo's of my make up step by step as I'd have liked too. Excuse my dressing gown I didn't put my dress on until the last minute, this was after I finished my make-up. List of products used: Mac Studio Fix NW15 Rimmel Match Perfection 010 Light Porcelain Too Faced Candleight Illuminating Powder Revolution Kohl and Flick MUA Blusher Marshmellow Revolution Purple Heaven Eyeshadow MUA Winter Forest Palette- Azure Shade Maybelline New York Galactive Mauve 240 Mua Eyebrow Pencil in Blonde I'm pretty sure that's everything, I bought the little snowflake hair clips on ebay for about £3 and they have spiral backs on them, I bought two cans of white uv hair spray which you can get most places I got mine from Superdrug and I thin it was £4.99. My Eyelashes I bought off a Lady on facebook/depop on facebook her name is Livvie Raven and they are actually inspired by 'Frozen' they were not heavy at all which I thought they would be. Here are some more pictures, I bought a blue sheer cape off of eBay and my boyfriend's mum attached the white fur onto it, the dress is just from missguided but was from last summer so I don't think it will be on there anymore. My shoes I haven't shown as I did a post of them a while back.
Please leave any questions below and I will answer them Thanks for reading xox I really shouldn't get to work so early as I always end up spending money looking around the shops before I start work. So before I started my shift I had a little nosey around my local Superdrug and took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer yet again and I got another make up bag which I gave to my boyfriends mum. So first thing I needed was a pink blush as I don't wear blusher I'm more of a bronzer type of gal, I need a pink blush because I'm dressing as Elsa and she has nice rosey cheeks. I've said over and over that I'm a massive MUA fan and most products are only £1 so I picked up the blusher as it didn't have to be great as it was for one night. Then I stumbled across a brand which I never really heard of but the prices were brilliant was right next to the MUA stall so I'm shocked I hadn't seen it earlier I must admit the quality looked better. I own nothing by this brand 'Revolution' until today I picked up a lovely eye shadow called 'Purple Haven' it has a tiny amount of blue in which I like and this was only £1 the pigment isn't amazing but its buildable. The next thing I picked up was the 'Awesome Dual Eyeliner' as I needed a new one and this was only £2.50 for technically two eyeliners. Its a double end so it saves taking out two at a time. These are both ends, excuse the terrible photos I have the worst camera and it takes ages to focus. It feels good quality and I've tested it on my hand and it is very dark and I think it'll work perfectly although I'm not a major eyeliner fan anyway but who knows this could change me. Have you got any Revolution products that I should try? Thanks for reading xox Jack Wills and Olly Murs are probably my favourite things in life. If you're like me then for christmas and birthday's I receive loads of bath sets and gift sets and it takes me months to get through them all. Today I came across my Jack Wills English Velvet Body Wash and Body Butter. Now I don't really rate the Jack Wills English Velvet body wash very high mainly because I didn't want to buy it again and if I don't instantly want to buy more then this product isn't something I want in my life. They claim that the scent is 'English Velvet' does anybody know what this is supposed to smell like, I think the last time I smelt velvet it didn't have a scent the only thing I can smell is soap. I like the packaging and I love Jack Wills clothing but I think maybe they should just stick to that, this feels like a product I'd pay around £2 for its only the fancy name 'Jack Wills' is the reason we pay more. I'm not sure how much this did cost but roughly I'd say around £15 because Jack Wills don't do cheap. Now leaving all the negative stuff behind I had hopes for this body butter the scent was the same as the body wash so I didn't smell fabulous but it did leave my skin so smooth and I'd even shaved my legs and they were lovely but it was probably the same standard as The Body Shop which smells amazing and is a lot cheaper.
whoops I said we'd leave the negative behind oh well.. I just feel really let down by these products as I have so much clothing by them. If you don't know me then the Olly Murs book was placed just to show my two true loves, I can do a review on the book if you insist but I'm probably just going to write that everything was fab because I won't write a bad word about Olls Thanks for reading xox So you all know I'm a huge fan of MUA brand as its so cheap and actually quite good, I've been on the hunt for a primer for quite a while and struggled to find one I like the sound of. I headed to superdrug and checked out the MUA counter and they actually have quite a few but I picked up Pro-Base primer it claims to 'flawlessly evens out complexion' I personally don't think it does but I did notice a different when I applied my make up I didn't see any dry skin patches and my make up went on nicer than it usually does. I took a picture of this product next to the make up bag I got for free in Superdrug I think it's because I used the 3 for 2 offer I was just happy to get a freebie and a £1 off the total because I had enough points. Anyway back to the product itself... it comes out almost like a gel form and had a white look to it which I thought was unusual since I pictured it to be clear. For £4 I don't think it's a bad product if you don't really wear primers like me it makes it hard to compare to any others but it definitely holds my make up on for longer and also I don't have to use as much foundation as the primer makes it go further. What are some good primers for dry skin girls? |
