As you know I'm a lover of W7 products I love that they produce good quality dupes for highend make-up. You can check there website out here the only downside is you can't buy off the website but you can buy it from Amazon, Ebay and Fragrance Direct. If you are in the UK and have a Choice near you they seem to get random bits in there too. Anyways I picked up the W7 Honeycomb Blusher for £3.50. The first things I thought of when I bought this was that the packaging looks like the Benefit Hoola packaging and the actual product reminds me of MUA Mosaic Blusher. I first tried this out with the brush and it did nothing I then used one of my own brushes and it created a very slight coral shimmer shade to it. I think the main reason I bought it was because the packaging and was different to what I have. One thing I noticed from this product is you do get a lot of fall out in the box I regulary have to tip the fall out into the bin as it just annoys me. This swatch isn't the best as it looks brighter on my face and you can notice it more with a tan. I really do like the orangey shades in this blusher as it makes it feel so summery. Apart from the brush being so rubbish I'd say this is a good product and it has fallen into my everyday make-up routine because I don't need to worry about going to over the top because its not too in your face.
What W7 products have you tried? I personally love most of the things they bring out its just hard finding them online. Thanks for reading. Katy xox First thing first I'm the realist. I can never type first things first without busting into the next Iggy as most of you know I'm jetting off to Spain in September and one thing I do not want to take with me is a lot of make up so I opted for a cc cream. Being honest with you I hardly any time to have a look as I was in a rush but I grabbed this one the Loreal Nude Magique I went for the green one because I have a lot of red undertones. I overall just wanted a cc cream that gave me fairly good coverage that wasn't too sticky, this one has proved itself very well. I decided to try it too a party as it was hot we'd be outside I couldn't really be bothered to do my make up if I'm honest. I did touch up a few areas with my Mac foundation but I could have left them. When applying the product it comes out green which did worry me because I was thinking how is this going to make me look good at all?! but as soon as you rub it in it gives a nice glowy dewy looks. I set it with some powder as I like a matte finish and I had to add some bronzer to my chest and neck as it was a shade out for me but when I'm tanned it'll be perfect. I'd say this is a NW25 tone but I made it work on my little NW15 face. The price tag did put me off a tad £9.99 which is more than most drugstore foundations but I took the plunge got to the till point and she pointed out they have a 2 for £12 on all Loreal products so I went back and bought the Miss Manga Black Angel mascara still not sure on it yet, so £12 wasn't bad really when I saved about £7. I'd rate this product an easy 8/10 good coverage and nice glow. It'll defiantly be going to Spain with me. I'm looking for a waterproof mascara next girls what's a good one? Thanks for reading. Katy xox Yayy finally a beauty/haircare post I feel as if I've been doing everything but these recently. Months ago just before this product was launched they were sending out samples so I thought I'd try it and it arrived the other day I'd completley forgotten about even signning up for it but here it is.
I received a shampoo, conditioner and serum although the serum isn't pictured. This was my first time trying a shampoo in a long time which wasn't from the Lee Stafford range, my first thought was the smell it smelt beautiful. The serum was the most scented and I think I will be purchasing after I've finished my Loreal Elvive which has lasted me well over a year. Its a very sweet honey smell I'm not sure if I noticed the smell more so because Lee Stafford products arn't very scented. This line of products is aimed at people who may have weak, damaged hair and it targets on spilt ends. Overall my hair didn't feel particulary different after I dried it, it felt lovely as I was washing it but I didn't feel like it did much. I would definalty give this product another go to see if its something you have to use a few times before noticing a difference. After googling prices I've put this on my payday list as its only £3.89 from Boots and they have a 3 for 2 deal on aswell! They have a whole different range of the Ultimate Blends all for really good prices so if you are looking for a inexspensive shampoo but one that feel like a luxury this is one for you. Thank you for reading I will be doing more beauty reviews but waiting for payday this month has been a killer as I'm already in my overdaft so keep you eyes peeled for more reviews, also is there anything you've seen that you'd like to me to grab and try? Katy. I got nominated for The Liebster Award which is for new bloggers who have under 200 followers which is sadly me. I got nominated by the lovely Jess over at http://jellybluesblog.com/
The Rules: – Thank the person who nominated you and link to their blog. – Answer the questions provided by the nominator. – Nominate and link to 10 bloggers (ideally, with less than 200 followers). – Create 10 new questions for your nominees to answer. 1. If you could only take three things from your make-up box to use (for the rest of your life) what would they be and why? I would have to go for my Mac Studio Fix foundation in shade NW25 then my Benefit They're Real Mascara and lastly a eyeshadow palette which would probably be W7 Lightly Toasted which is what I'm using at the moment its a dupe of the Naked 1 pallette. 2. Whats your favourite chocolate bar or sweet? I'm not a massive chocolate or sweet person I'd rather have a massive bag of Dorito's but as a sweet I'd probably go for the standard strawberry laces or laces of any kind. 3. Do you have any pets? No, my boyfriend has 2 cats which are both ginger and brothers and we think one of them is gay but that's a story for another day. 4. Necklace or Bracelet? I rarely wear necklaces so I'd have to say a bracelet I've asked for the new rose gold pandora bracelet for my birthday off my boyfriend and I can't wait until I have it. 5. Whats your favourite make-up brush brand? I'd have to say Real Techniques make-up brushes as they are so soft and the only ones I've really used, I'd love to get the Bold Metals ones but I can't justify spending £25 on one brush. 6. What do you enjoy doing outside of the blogging/ vlogging world? This one is very hard for me as blogging is my hobby so it's the thing I do outside of work so other than this I love shopping and late night trips to Tesco to buy make-up. I love spending time with my boyfriend and his family and going out with my friends. I just asked my boyfriend to help me with this question and he replied I like to moan at him and ignore him so thats his opinion. 7. If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be? Either Rome or Paris if I had the choice probably Rome because I'd love to ride around on a Vespa all day like in The Lizzie McGuire movie, if you haven't seen it I suggest you watch it you're missing out. 8. What’s your most favourite thing about blogging (writing or making videos)? My favourite thing is reading my comments getting feedback and getting saves on my posts. I also love putting posts together for you to read. 9. What’s your favourite perfume? It would have to be Diesel Loverdose I love the packaging and it has a really unique sweet smell. 10. If you could be anyone else is this world who would it be and why? I'd be Michelle Keegan because she is flawless and looks amazing in anything and everything, I mean did you see her no make-up selfie!? Thank you again to Jess for this nomination I never really expected it and it was fun to do! My questions.. 1. What is your favourite TV series? 2. If you could give one piece of advice to somebody looking at starting a blog what would it be? 3. What do you think is an over-rated/hyped product? 4. What current fashion trends are you loving at the moment? 5. Favourite Disney Character? 6. What is your dream career? 7.Where do you online shop the most? 8.If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be? 9. If you could spend one hour with anybody in the world right now who would it be? 10.Do you have/want any tattoo's if so what are they and do they mean anything to you? Remember to tag me in your answer's I'd love to read them! Katy xox I am not a expert at this sort of thing at all I'm just offering my own personal advice. Above you can see me and my boyfriend and we have been together for overall nearly 3 and a half years we met when I was 16 and I'm now 19 and this is the third time we've been together so we have not had it perfect at all far from it, but to me the best times are perfect. When we spilt we both saw other people but both came back to eachother and I know he's 'the one' for me but we know what went wrong each time so I'm going to tell you how to keep a relationship happy. 1. Always say good morning or goodnight. I don't know if every couple does this but me and Tommy always do unless he falls asleep and forgets, to me when he texts me in the morning he's basically saying I'm here for you and I'm the first thing he's thought of in the morning. I always think it's good to say goodnight because I know he's home and going to sleep so it stops me worrying all night, yes I'm one of those girlfriends who imagines the worst. 2. Date nights. Tommy and I both work sometimes different days and the same days and sometimes I only see him in the evenings so it's the best time to go for dinner or even just a McDonald's we take it in turn to pay depending on each others pay. Sometimes we have no plans and they turn out to be the best days we end up all kinds of places but aslong as we're together who cares. 3. Spend time apart with family or friends. I adore Tommy's family as much as my own so I don't mind him going out when I'm over at his house in fact I love it I can watch what I want on Netflix and chat away to his mum. Its so important for your other half to spend time with friends because they'll appreciate coming home and seeing you after they've had to sort a drunk mate. 4. Arguments are okay. Not too much but it's healthy sometimes me and Tommy will shout at eachother then calm down and talk it out or sometimes he'll do something and I'll find it hilarious and we both just laugh. 5. Past is the past. The main problem we have is this because we were with other people it messes up the present so my main point is forget about it you have them now for a reason and that's all that matters. Don't think about it don't focus on it. 6. Do little things. Sometimes I'll buy Tommy food or if I see something I know he'll love I'll get it for him just as a little thought and he does the same he recently bought me the Real Techniques Core Collection make up brushes because he knew how much I'd been looking for them. I could of told you loads more top tips but I don't want to bore you, I'm sorry I've come away from beauty at the moment I promise I'll have a review up of a certain product tomorrow! Katy. xox Would You Rather Beauty TAG!!!
Questions 1.Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or Nice hair and no make-up? I'd rather have messy hair and nice make-up as I usually do this anyway. I have short hair anyway so I usually throw it up in a bun and be done with it. 2.Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out? I'd rather shave my eyebrows as I draw them on anyway and my eyebrows are not thick or nice to be honest, I wear false eyelashes but I think they'd look fake without some eyelashes to blend into them and eyelashes take years to grow back and eyebrows grow back with revenage. 3.Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life? Personally I've never ever shoped at Sephora but I've seen people buy things from them and I'd have to say Sephora because they sell such a wide amount of make-up I couldn't stick to just Mac for the rest of my life. I only really use Mac Studio Fix foundation. 4.Would you rather wear lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm? I rarely curl my hair now because its at a awkward length so I'd have to go for the lipgloss lipliner look which I think sometimes works if you get a good lipliner you can use to fill in your lips then just a gloss over the top. 5.Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush? This is impossible if you go over the top with blush you look like a clown and if you have a foundation line then you're doing something wrong, I think I'd have to go for the blush and deal with it and just pray it wasn't a bright pink blusher! 6.Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public? I rock MC Hammer pants all the time renamed Hareem pants they are so comfy and go with anything so easy to dress up or down and easy to wear everywhere! 7.Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered? This one is easy I'd rather have bad tan lines because at least its natural rather than look like a orange wotsit which I have done before but lets face it who hasn't? 8.Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color? Bad hair colour easily I've had many and plus if you have lovely long hair you can have any colour as you have nice long hair. I've been ginger so many times I can't remember. 9.Would you rather have youtube or twitter taken away forever? I love twitter but I couldn't lose youtube as I use it to look at new products watch my favourite subscribers and sometimes the occasional episode of something, Twitter is just something I have just because everybody has it and its easy to flick through. 10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara? This one would have to be mascara how could you apply anything without a brush could you imagine doing eyeshadows without a brush? DIASTER. Plus false eyelashes ayee? I'm tagging... Katie Harper-Penman over at http://katieharper-penman.blogspot.co.uk/ and my new follower! Comme des Coco http://www.commedescoco.nl/ I don't know why I'm writing about this but I needed somewhere to put this even if somebody over the other side of the world will read it. In April 9th and 10th something happened to me which I had to make a big decision about and its changed me for life I'm not going to put what it was because it's very personal. I acted so cool about it probably too cool as to why its all coming out now, I break down more I cry about pointless things, you're probably think I'm just a typical girl but I used to be so confident and outgoing and this one thing has crushed me and compared to some people it's probably nothing. This post is probably going to make no sense as I just need to take my mind off things and writing a blogpost helps me with that. Today I got told I had to go to a meeting tomorrow for work purposes and I broke down on the phone to my boss for no reason whatsoever as soon as I hung up I couldn't breathe it was like I couldn't control anything and panic just took over.I phoned my boyfriend crying my eyes out over the fact I couldn't face this meeting and crying over the fact I was crying and couldn't stop. If you'd have seen me 6 months ago I'd have been fine but I think its down to this one decision I had to make has taken over me, it's changed me. I started this blog after I made that decision so I had something to focus on and put my everything into but I don't even feel happy in myself I'm an emotional wreck I don't even want to leave my bed some days because I could wrap myself up in my duvet and cry all day. Now this decision was the right decision but my mind can't stop wandering 'what if'. Maybe this is just how I'm going to be from now on I feel trapped. I just want to be my loud outgoing normal self again not a teary wreck. Thanks for reading. Katy. This is my honest review on Mr Blanc Whitening strips I can't remember how I found these or what made me want to try them but anyways! I love the packaging the colours really stand out its plain simple and sleek, when I first bought these I bought a 4 day course for around £5 but they didn't come with the box they came in the little packets. I recieved this super quick when I ordered and I've actually subscribed monthly so you can tell already I love these, I ordered on a Thursday late night and I recieved them Saturday morning and the delivery note even told me who picked my order. "Mr Blanc is a natural and peroxide free teeth-whitening product that if used correctly, will get your teeth looking and feeling whiter in 14 days" When using these you plae a strip on the bottom and top of your teeth then leave them on for 30minutes which does seem like a long time but they stick super well so you can still talk etc, just don't eat or drink cause it might cause it to slip off. After pulling the strips off you'll have what feels like a jelly all over your teeth so brush your teeth and admire the results I noticed from day one. I'm doing a blog post this week with the lovely Katie Harper Penman who runs her own beauty and lifestyle blog you can have a look at it here. I can't remember how I found her blog but I think it was through some shameless self promoting via twitter she is a lovely girl and tagged me in one of her tags posts, our blogs are very alike we both look at low cost beauty trends which parts highend. This collab is going to show you 3 products which we love and 3 products we regretted buying. Some of these products you might love and some you might hate but these didnt work for us or we didn't like them,
Our Beauty Essentials. Katie: At the top of my beauty essentials list has got too be my Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. This is the best thing for chapped lips. For years I swore by Cherry flavoured carmex and I found this about a year ago and couldnt understand how I had never come across this! I like to put it on at night when my lips are feeling particularly dry or chapped and they are so smooth by the morning! Would recommend to everyone and you can find it cheaper on allbeauty.com! This isn't a usual thing I post about but who knows you might be in the same position as me as we don't always do the most glamourous of jobs, I'm not going to go into too much detail but I do quite a 'manly' job moving pallets using a pum truck etc.. And last week I got told that I need steel toe cap boots my first thought what oh god no. Now my company do provide free ones but I wasn't that keen on them as they were dark green and I already have a purple polo so I spoke to my manager and asked about buying my own ones, after searching the Amazon and Ebay I found some that I love..
I hope this has helped some of you who don't have glamourous jobs or just feel a bit dull at work I sometimes do :( If you decide to go for any of these idea's let me know in the comment section or if you have anything else which makes you feel a bit more girly then let me know I'd love to hear it! Thanks for reading. Katy xox |
