I love coming home to parcels its like Christmas in the middle of the week! So I thought I'd share some of the things I'd bought with you. 1. 7 piece ring set. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281668333510?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT These were from Hong Kong and took about 14 days to arrive roughly, they came packaged well. Obviously I wouldn't wear these all together but 7 rings for 99p? yes please. Some of these are adjustable and some of them are slightly too big but I have tiny fingers so I can hardly complain when I say tiny I mean Size 50. 2. Nail Varnish Stand. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008KGSYLI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 This stand holds approx 45 bottles and I've decided to use this mainly for my ever growing Barry M collection, this stand was only £9.99 and free postage it arrived in a big box with loads of padding. It arrived in around 3/4 days so super quick and it was bigger than I thought so that was a win I guess! 3. Eyelashes. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360498436372?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT 10 pairs of eyelashes for only £3.79 from the UK aswell I've recently decided to try and wear false eyelashes everyday because I find taking off mascara every night a bit of a chore call me lazy if you want. I'm mega fussy when it comes to eyelashes even for a night out I hate HATE hate the ones which crossover eachother at the top if you know what I mean it looks so unatural, I also hate huge thick ones you look like a drag queen hun. These ones however feel so soft I haven't actually tried them yet and they have a clear strip which makes them look more natural hopefully these well replace my mascara! 4. Eyebrow Razor. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251947695017?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT This little thing is a god send for only 99p(from hong kong) I ordered this along with the rings as it was from the same ebay shop. This comes with two different razors and it perfect for shaping if you don't like plucking! I use it to make sure I don't get a monobrow and the bits that hurt too much to pluck! This was a very short blogpost but you can really find some cool things on ebay for not alot of money. What different things have you picked up on ebay/amazon? Katy xox I love reading these sorts of blogposts find out what people do differently and seeing what they use. I wash my hair around 2/3 times a week sometimes more sometimes less depending on what I am doing and how greasy it looks, I usually wash my hair over the shower instead of in shower because it takes me so long.
1. After my hair is soaking wet I use the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Shampoo I did mention in a blog post that I woudn't use this because I've heard it's very drying but its actually okay its lathers up well and does go a long way. 2. After rinsing out the shampoo I'll use the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment it isn't a conditioner its for inbetween shampoo and conditioner you leave this on for around 5 minutes sometimes I leave it longer but you focus at the roots of your hair as this is where you hair grows. I usually put this on and brush my teeth while its on my head. You can read my full blog post on it here 3. After washing out the Lee Stafford Treatment you can really feel a difference on your roots but you need to make it sure you get it all out as sometimes I've come to dry my hair and I can still feel the product as I've massaged it in well. Then I use the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Conditoner which is just a standard conditioner really but I use this on my ends as I've already focused so much on the roots. 4. If I've had a really bad few days and my hair feels bad I'll use the Aussie 3 Minute reconstructer I usually buy the tiny bottle it has more than the sachets but not as expensive as the big bottle its about £1.75 its a must have if you are going on holiday. I'm not going to go into much detail about this product because there is reviews about it almost everywhere and it's an amazing product. 5.After towel drying my hair I use the Lee Stafford Leave In Treatment (I use the entire collection) I spray this near the roots and let it absorb for around 10 minutes I can never really be bothered to dry my hair straight away so its gets 15 minutes natural drying. 6. I use the VO5 heat protect I usually just pick up whatever one is on offer but I think this is a very popular one, I use this before I use any heat. I do try and stay away from heat at the moment as I'm trying to grow my hair I'm sick of using hair extensions etc. 7. After my hair is completley dry it goes very fluffy almost a bit wild so I either straighten it or leave it but I always use the L'oreal Extradordinary Oil the one I have is for coloured hair because I think I bought it when I had read hair and that was about 2 years ago so this has lasted me well I think its so important to put oils back in your hair after you've washed them all away and this makes my hair so shiny which if you're a blonde you know my pain. So when I text my friends and say I'm washing my hair and they reply saying 'yeah that won't take long' well yes it really does for me. What do you do when you wash your hair and would you recommend anything for me? 1. BLUE MASCARA. Oh my god this was a awful stage at when I first started using make-up, my mum only wanted me using coloured mascara because she didn't want me looking older than I was. I used to think I was so cool with blue mascara and it wasn't a slight blue it was electric blue! 2. BRIGHT PINK BLUSHER. So along with the blue mascara I had bright pink cheeks I must have looked like a clown but at the time I felt great. The worst part is it was on my actual cheeks in almost perfect circles like a china doll. 3. BLUE EYESHADOW AND EYELINER. During my emo stage basically wanted to be Avril Lavigne stage, I'd have massive black smokey eyes like panda's. Not just on eyelids like all around my eyes, obviosuly Avril Lavigne looked amazing I looked like I was going to a halloween party everyday. 4. BAD EYEBROWS. So I'll admit it wasn't until about 2012 that I realised how bad my eyebrows really were basically they looked like C's basically C eyebrows I'll even put a picture to show how bad they are but please don't judge me! I thought they looked good, maybe I should take a picture of all these make up errors on myself now just so you can see and it would be a fun blog post? Let me know what you think in the comments. 5. FOUNDATION LIPS.
Now I know this one wasn't just me because basically the whole of year 9 was doing it and we thought we looked great until it dried went flakey and fell off. Also how bad did my lips get when I did this it would literally dry my lips out. What are your biggest make-up mistakes? I think I had enough for everybody tbh. Thanks for reading :) If you read my last blogpost then you'll know about where I picked this product up from if you haven't you can click it here. I picked up this copy of Benefit They're Real mascara by a brand called W7 as you can see from the packaging alone its basically a copy the silver tube and the orange writing it does feel slighty cheaper as it was only £3 and its slightly more mirrored if you can see what I mean. I've been looking for a good dupe for this as it's a amazing mascara but £20 each month is a lot of money for me to spend every few months on a mascara. I was very shocked at how similar this product is compared to the Benefit one it add curls does get a little bit clumpy but I found the Benefit one to be clumpy after a few coats. I could quite happily use Benefit on one eye and this on the other and it would look no different, the best perk of this is how it comes off I found Benefit so hard to get off which I think does help my eyelashes as Im scrubbing it off everynight whilst this comes off easy and it's waterproof. One of the other things I noticed is the brushes they are identical! The Benefit one is slightly thicker but they both have the spikey bits on the end to grab those tiny lashes this stuff is identical to Benefit and I would recommend it too anybody who doesn't like the Benefit price tag.
I am so excited to write this!! I finally got my hands on these w7 naked palettes! I decided to purchase "In The Nude" and "In The Buff" whilst I was shopping I found these in a shop called Choice I'm not sure if they have it outside the UK but its basically mainly Next and other brands at cheaper prices either because they are damaged or not perfect. I had a nosey around in here as a Next worker I love to see what didn't make it to our shop! I found a actual W7 stall it had everything from concelers to mascaras first I picked up the dupe for Benefits They're Real mascara which I will review after this then further down I found the palettes I almost screamed my boyfriends name sad I know. He actually bought them for me I have him well trainned mainly because my pay wasn't doing too well this month, these were both £6 and contain 12 shades each. I love these shades and these are the exact dupes for the Naked 2 & 3 at a fraction of the price ITN contains more pinky shades which some greys and browns, Im a sucker for any brown eyeshadows so many shades! ITN also has a few matte shades which I love. The other thing I like is it has a brush which is uncommon as most cheap eyeshadow palettes come with the horrible sponge applicators which I don't think anybody likes:((.
ITB contains more neutrals such as browns, blacks and a beautiful gold shade which is the first one I tried. ITB contains more shimmery and glittery shades so they are perfect so a night out or in the summer months. I've read so many reviews on these where people actually prefer these to the Naked palettes because they have less fall out and the cost of them is far better. Personally I've never used the Naked Palette because I can't afford to spend £38 on a eyeshadow palette and the purpose of this blog is to show you affordable brands. The packaging is different obviously but I like it it's more chunky and I feel as if you could drop it and it would be okay, the colour of the packaging is the same as the Naked Palettes which I love! If you don't have a Choice shop near you can pick these up on amazon and ebay for around the same price so far there are 5 palettes the two Ive mentionned, In To The Night which is mainly purple shades, Neon Lights which is really bright neon shades and Lightly Toasted which is a dupe for the orignal Naked palette. Keep an eye out for my Benefit They're Real dupe Thanks For Reading! I got tagged by the lovely Katie from her blog to do this blusher tag I'm not a major blush person but let me rummage through my make-up bag and see what we got..
What colour blush suits you the most? I try and avoid pink and if it is pink its more of a coral I also like darker nudes for blushers so they add contour to my face. The reason I avoid pinks is because I have redness of my skin so I see it everyday and rather cover it than embrace it Pressed, cream or loose? If you'd asked me this a few months ago I'd have said powder all th way but I have been looking at cream ones because I suffer with dry skin I think that powders sometimes clings onto my dry patches while I find cream blushers smooth my face out if that makes sense. Overall pressed or cream I only use loose for my all over face powder. Favourite shimmery blush? I tend to go for more matte blushers because I sometimes use the Too Faced Illuminaing Powder so I don't like too much sparkle on my face. Favourite matte blush? I actually really like the MUA blushers and for only £1 you can buy loads for the same price although I really like the Mosaic Blusher English Rose for only £2.50 you can find it here. Favourite cream blush? Still exploring these and the ones I do have are unbranded as I got them in a beauty kit I will post pictures in another post. Favourite drugstore blush? Probably would have to say MUA for anybody who isn't show of colours for £1 you can't go wrong. I'm agreeing with Katie on this one MUA Marshmellow I used this in my Elsa Dress Up and I love it you have to be bold sometimes! Favourite MAC blush? I wish I had the funds :'(( Biggest blush disappointment? MUA Shimmer Kisses I heard brilliant reviews and I thought it was rubbish its a little square pot with 4 colours in one is more of a highlighter which I was excited about but I had to dig my finger in so far to even get a swatch. Best blush packaging? I really like Mac Blusher packaging I personally don't know how strong they are etc but I love the basic sleek look of them. What's on your blush wishlist? Sleek MakeUp Eye & Cheek Palette - Midsummer Nights Dream Smashbox Baked Fusion Soft Lights Blush Sleek Make-up Blush - Sahara Today I'm going to show you something I love reading and looking at! Make-up storage 😍😍 I have a tiny little room I don't have a massive dressing table I can barely fit my double bed in it. I love acrylic storage though who doesn't? although I find it a bit pricey for what it is so defiantly worth hunting around for it. So this is my little corner of my room basically designed for my face, I have all my skincare in my basket all my drawers stacked with perfumes on top. All I really need is a new brush holder this was just a old candle glass I just haven't seen one that's caught my eye yet. I tried to organise the drawers so I sort of have I have my eye drawer, face drawer and lips drawer so on... I bought these drawers for around £14 including postage each and I have 3 stacked so it is pricey! My basket I got free from Next as I work there so I can't help with that I'm afraid. My lipstick holder was about £5.99 on eBay you can find these anywhere. Thanks for reading xox So I decided to check out MUA's nail varnish and sadly it's the first product by them that I don't like :(
I know they are only £1 but it's not the point, I bought Pistachio Icecream which is like a mint green pastel colour. Firstly it went on very streaky and didn't smooth out or self level. I will try more colours too see if it was the only one, also it chipped right away after tackling my boyfriends room, am I the only one with a hoarder of a boyfriend? I spent all day throwing out school work from 2012 but so worth it for a tidy clear room and I even got my own bedside table which I'm excited about, sad I know.. Also sorry for the lack of blogposts I've been so busy lately. Thanks for reading xox I absolutely love my hand creams and I work in such a manual jobs my hands basically cry out for attention. Ive always bought Soap and Glory's range as for the miniatures like these they are around £2.50 and I know they'll be good. The first one I bought was in a emergency as my hands were so sore sore and dry basically felt like I ripping them everytime I used them I saw it in Boots and decided to go with this one as I was on my break so I didn't have long to look anyway.
This claims to have the 'original pink fabulous fragance' I find it to be a marshmellow type of smell its not too over powering and it does work a treat on my hands for only £2.50 you can get a bigger size but I have no idea how much it is and the smaller ones suit me better as I chuck them in my bag. I recieved the Sugar Crush Hand Food for Christmas but I ended up tucking it somewhere and not being able to find it typical! But oh my I wish this stuff was editable the lime smell is so overpowering and I love it! I know that this isn't going to be everybodys cup of tea and some will prefer the original but just try the Sugar Crush honestly its so so good! Hands down Sugar Crush wins it for me just because of them smell, based on just the product I think they are the same formula but the Sugar Crush has the lime added. What do you prefer? Thanks for reading xox All my photo's on my blog are what I've taken on my iPhone 5 with help from apps and filters. I don't like Instagram filters as I find them a bit over the top and you can tell they've had a filter which I don't think shows you what the product or thing that I'm talking about what it actually looks like.. 1. VSCO CAM. This is my ultimate app I always import my pictures and have a look at filters you can get a lot of Kyile Jenner type of photo's if you follow her on instagram, p.s follow kyliejennerappsrevealed it will tell you everything! Did I mention this app is completely free you can buy extra filters but you don't even need them as they do free packs too! 2. SQUAREAGRAM
This is the app I use to get a white edge around my photo's this is helpful for Facebook as they now zoom in on your photo's and I don't really like it. Its simple, basic and free on the app store and you can go straight from squareagram to instagram and you can just add you #hastags and caption. 3. FREEPRINTS This isn't what I use to edit my blog photos but I thought I'd put this here because I don't think many people know about it, In free prints you get 45 prints a month and you just have to pay around £2.00 postage and they get delivered straight to your door. I've used this quite a few times and it's been perfect so putting together a photo album for a birthday or christmas. You can also get matte photos (which I love) or the standard glossy. 4. PIC COLLAGE This is what I use to make my picture collages, its simple you can either pick a layout and have them put them in the boxes like I have at the top of this post or lay the photo's on top of each other like this.. |
